As a chronically ill person with lots of disabled friends, I keep more medical supplies on average in my closet than most. I like to be ready to anticipate any needs that my guests may have, as well as to be ready for any cases of imminent illness.
Let’s take a look through my medical and hygiene closet together!
The Basics!
I keep a large amount of soap, scented and unscented, available, so that I never run out. Some of my friends are allergic to scents, so I like to keep unscented products around for them. My testosterone is also in a pump bottle, so it lives here as well.
My favorite Epsom salts, the Dr. Teal’s with Arnica, is a staple for me. It gets used and replaced as often as the soap, so it stays near it.
Rotating Meds and Supplies
I keep a surplus of general meds like Allegra, asprin, ibuprofen and cough drops around.
My trans-colored bag (pale blue, white and pink) contains a literal rainbow of KT tape, as well as bandaids and spare silicone strips left over from top surgery. The KT tape is my usual staple for when something on my body dislocates, which is to say pretty much daily.
On the note of physical aids, I also have a number of braces and PT equipment that helps me out, shown above.
I keep a first aid kit handy, because like most people with my particular set of medical issues I regularly manage to injure myself.
Daily Meds
My meds live in an arthritis-friendly case for easy access. The actual pill bottles for all my daily meds live in an adorable makeup case, seen below.

My surplus meds, occasional meds, meds that are identical to what I’m taking now but were in the wrong dose, etc. all live in this bag. It holds around 35 pill bottles, and has room for more.
My medicine storage is relatively modular, but this system works for me for now! What is your setup like?
