Animal Crossing: Tour of Aurora

Noor

Welcome to my town! I play Animal Crossing to give myself a hobby, battle stress, and create projects that exceed what I can do in the physical world. As a result, my town has a lot of little details everywhere that I’ve created, as well as a few big areas!

These images were taken just before Bunny Day, so if you see some stray egg paraphernalia, that’s why. Let’s go!

The Plinth and Town Hall

a plinth with flower beds, two log benches, and a fountain, surrounded by brick walls

When you first enter Aurora, you come across the piece I’ve worked hardest on-the plinth. It’s a place for villagers and friends to sit, and to check out the flowers. It took a little under an hour, and is modeled after this post on Twitter. Naturally, my villagers ALWAYS IGNORE THE BENCHES in favor of sniffing the flowers, but it’s a popular photo spot for my friends!

Next, if you go just above the plinth, you’ll find some of the fun activities I’ve placed around town hall, like music playing from a stereo (the villagers will sometimes sing or dance along to it), a rocking horse spring toy, and a popcorn machine. There’s also a cotton candy machine, just out of frame.

Picnic Area

a curly brick path beside a picnic

To the right of town hall, there’s a path that goes through the trees and reaches a picnic spot, just before the villagers’ houses.

Kody’s House

a blue house with a red little library

Kody was one of my first villagers! He’s an athletic blue bear that is often seen doing muscle curls on the beach. His house is suspiciously chill, and I gave him a little library to store fitness magazines in.

Antonio’s House

tan house with a brown little library and a red modern well

Antonio is also an athlete, and may harbor secret gay feelings for Kody. Whenever they interact, they talk about Antonio doing bicep curls, and Kody keeping up with him. Antonio has less personality than Kody, but he definitely keeps up in terms of activity. I see him all around town throughout the day. I gave him a well because it seemed like the kind of thing he’d use for workouts.

My House

A large white house surrounded by flowers

Next up on the block is my house! Let me know if you’d like a tour of what I have so far. I love the feeling of swinging above some flowers, so I made a little wooden swing for my garden. I haven’t gotten anything rare yet, but I keep hoping!

The Orchard

an orchard separated by a path

The orchard contains at least one of every kind of fruit. It’s a lovely, relaxing place for the villagers to rest as well, and is right before the bridge over the river into the campsite.

a white ramp

If you follow the path from there up the ramp, you’ll find Tia’s house!

Tia’s House

pastel blue house with a pastel little library
Tia

Tia is a teapot and elephant hybrid that is terrifying if you think about her for too long, and adorable if you don’t. She’s extraordinarily sweet and polite, and if you look inside her house it’s like a little tea house! She’s incredibly precious. I imagine her little library is full of tea books.

Able Sisters

able sisters with a little library

Back down the ramp, you’ll find the Able Sisters’! Nothing much to see here, but I gave them a little library because I like to think they would give back to their community.

Olive’s House

a house with a book case in fromt and a table to its side

Olive is the first villager I ever scouted on my own-I found her chilling out on a spiral island. Little did I know she would become one of my best island friends! She loves to talk about books, and is always encouraging me to do my best. Her house is right next to Nook’s Cranny.

Peggy’s House

a plain house with a little library and iron furniture

Peggy is an adorable, very red and pink villager. She moved in very recently after Bunnie moved out, and is filling the cheeriness gap fairly well. She always has a kind word o say about my outfits or bugs.

Miranda’s House

a fancy house with a simple well

Miranda is high femme culture, and I love her to pieces. Her fancy house is just above Peggy’s, on a hill.

Her little library is full of high fashion magazines, cookbooks, and crafting manuals. The little well is for her to make a wish in every morning.

Spike’s House

A big brown house

Spike’s house is the highest on the hill. He’s just above Miranda’s. Spike is a mix of music fan and athlete, and while he definitely is strong he’s also pretty laid back.

Kyle’s House

a brown house with a stereo and trash can

Kyle is a music-lovin’ wolf. I like to listen to him play and sing, but I don’t really talk to him much otherwise.

Museum

Let’s take a quick moment to say hi to Peggy, stretching in front of the museum-hi Peggy!

Beach Hangout Station

two beach chairs, and a picnic basket near a fire

On the beach, near the Museum and Kody’s house, there’s a beach picnic area with a fire and some tunes playing out of a shell speaker.

Plucky’s House

brown house with white flowers

Peggy is another one of my first villagers. She’s always got something to say, and she isn’t shy about sharing what’s on her mind. Her home is incredibly plain, inside and our, despite many attempts to change that fact.

Chester’s House

Chester's asian-inspired house

Our final stop on the tour is Chester! Chester is a lazy son of a gun, and he loves to receive any gifts related to food. He’s eaten many a fruit or donut around town. He has a little dinner table outside his house for the same reason- it’s all about eating efficiently.

That’s it! Congratulations, you’ve seen Aurora, bit by bit. Now, it’s on to the next adventure!
