My Lipstick Collection

Noor
flatlay of lipsticks

Ever since I first tried out makeup in high school, I’ve loved the way that it can dramatically change the face. One of the things first things I spent my own money on was cheap lipstick from a Walgreens up the street from my high school. Since coming to DC, very little has changed.

Let’s walk through my makeup closet together, by type of lipstick!

Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink

4 square liquid lips

The Maybelline Super Stay Matte Inks are pretty bulletproof. They’ve lasted through hot pizza, for me. They don’t come in all the wackiest colors (a must to be my absolute favorite, given how bright my outfits are!) but they’re strong as all else get out. They’re opaque, kiss proof, and they don’t feel tacky once they dry.

Tattoo Junkie Liquid Lip

Tattoo Junkie is a brand available at Five Below, and was one of my first liquid lip ventures. They’re available in lots of bright and weird colors, and they have decent staying power. They do not last through hot food.

AOA Liquid Lips

liquid lipsticks

The AOA liquid lips are vibrant and opaque, but they’re only really good for photos. They wear off at the drop of a hat. They’re lovely if you would like to experiment, or don’t mind reapplying regularly.

Maybelline SuperStay 24 Hour

The Maybelline SuperStay 24 Hour Color is definitely my favorite longwear liquid lip that has a gloss. It lasts through hot foods and basically anything you can throw at it-it’s got incredibly boring colors though.

Wet ‘n Wild Liquid Catsuit

The Wet ‘n Wild Liquid Catsuits are my favorite liquid lipstick formula by a long shot. They dry fast, are incredibly comfortable, last through most light meals, and come in every color you can think of. The black cap, matte ones are better than the glossy white caps.

Rosebud Salves

While I’m no longer shopping at Sephora until they make up for mass firing their employees without unemployment during COVID19, these were my last purchase from them. The Rosebud Salves are rich, comfy, and deeply moisturizing.

Baby Lips

The Dr. Rescue Baby Lips are great for when you’re sick, because they’re basically just light menthol.

ColourPop

The ColourPop Dr. M liquid lip pictured here functioned pretty much identically to the AOA formula for me.

Others

These are a NYX round matte lipstick, two Maybelline Colour Sensationals, and a Milani lipstick-they all applied relatively opaque and mooth.
